The Scope and Sequence Builder enables your school’s or district's Stile Administrators to create, edit, and publish a tailored curriculum to your school or district library, providing a shared reference for all teachers.
Note: Before you start, you must be a Stile Admin to access the curation tools. Most Australian schools do not have a District library or admins.
Create and publish your default Scope and Sequence
Click on the School Library or your District Library (where applicable) from the left side menu.
Select Get Started to open the Scope and Sequence builder.
Stile will offer to generate a complete plan based on your school's default curriculum. We recommend this over starting from scratch.
To accept the suggested plan, click Keep this. You can come back to edit it later!
Click the Publish button if you are ready to share it with your teachers.
Edit your Scope and Sequence
You can build your Scope and Sequence using a blend of Stile units and your own custom units. Teachers at your school can share their custom resources to the school library. Admins can curate the school library and add those custom resources to the Scope and Sequence. Admins can also make changes to core Stile units and push those edits directly to the Scope and Sequence. Only District Admins can curate the District library.
Click the Edit button above the Scope and Sequence to make changes.
Adjust the duration of a Unit by dragging its edge to resize.
Use the right-side menu to browse Units from the Stile Library or your School Library. Drag and drop Units from the menu into the editor.
To rename or delete a Unit, term, or section, hover over it and click the three dots (...) icon on its right side
You can also add more terms and sections to your Scope and Sequence by using the Add section and Add term buttons.
Click Finish when you are happy with your changes.
Edit a Stile unit in your Scope & Sequence
Select a unit in your Scope and Sequence and click the Edit this unit button at the bottom of the Unit Overview. Follow the prompt to create a Unit Editing Subject. This will give you a dedicated work space and a copy of the Stile unit.
Delete Sessions that your teachers may not have time for.
Rename and re-order Sessions to teach them in a different sequence.
Edit Session contents to differentiate, translate, add local context, or any other modifications you'd like.
Click Publish changes to scope and sequence when you are happy to share your edits with your teachers.
