Create or customize your Lesson by pulling questions and resources in from other Lessons.
Questions and content widgets can be copied and then pasted into any other Lesson, including those in other Subjects and schools. This can be especially useful when combining multiple small quizzes into a larger exam while preserving the Lessons that those widgets are taken from. You can copy individual widgets or work in bulk, copying and pasting several widgets at once. Copying widgets in this way will not copy any associated student work; the pasted widgets will be fresh.
Note: You can also move widgets from one Lesson to another, including student work. This is a quicker process, but is akin to cutting and pasting because the moved widgets will no longer appear in their original Lesson. Learn how to move widgets here.
Locate the widget to be copied in your Lesson's Prepare mode and click on its More menu, next to the Edit button. Select the Copy option from the menu that appears.
To select more than one widget, tick the box next to each widget that you want to copy. A new toolbar will appear at the top of your page indicating how many widgets are selected. Click the Copy button from this toolbar. Side-by-side layouts will not copy, so the copied widgets will appear at full width when pasted into their destination Lesson.
Next, navigate to the Lesson into which you want to paste your widgets. This can be any other Lesson you have access to in Stile, in any Subject and school.
If the Lesson is blank, or if you want to paste the widgets at the very top of the Lesson, then you can click the ... Options menu just above the cover image. The new widgets will appear at the top of the Lesson. From there, they can be edited and moved normally.
If you want to paste your widgets somewhere in the body of a Lesson, find the space you want and click the More menu on the widget directly above that space. Select the Paste option from the menu, and the new widgets will appear in the space below.
