Give another teacher access to your subject

Invite another teacher to manage your students, lessons, and Markbook via the Manage Co-teachers page.

Sharing access to your Subject can be beneficial in a variety of situations, and so it's easy to manage which teachers have access to each of your subjects at any time. When you invite someone to co-teach in your Stile subject, you are giving them all the same access and abilities in that subject as you have. This includes adding students, hiding and releasing lessons, editing content, and marking student work.

Examples of why you would add a co-teacher:

  • A lab technician needs to see notes for an upcoming prac;
  • A relief teacher will be leading the class for a time;
  • You want to build and customise lessons collaboratively with others in your department;
  • You share class time with another teacher on a regular basis.

Step-by-step guide

Step 1: Go to the Manage co-teachers page

Teachers must be invited to join a subject, even if they already have Stile accounts tied to the school.

Click into the subject you want the teacher to join, and then click on the green Students button in the subject's header. Next, click Manage co-teachers. This can be found in the left column of the page, below the Add class button.

Step 2: Send the invitation

Select the Invite via email option in the top right area of the screen and type the new teacher's email address into the window that appears. Ensure the email address is correct and then click Send invitation email. An automated email will be sent to the address inviting them to join the subject along with an unique, one-time-use link.

Once the new teacher joins the subject, their name and email address will appear on the Manage co-teachers page and they will have full access to the subject's lessons, students, and Markbook. 👩‍🏫
