Control access to your Lessons and Markbook via the Manage Co-teachers page.
You can give someone equal access to your Subject by inviting them to co-teach. They will be able to add students, release and hide Lessons, edit content, and mark student work. This is helpful for relief teachers and pre-service teachers, as well as lab techs. You can also add a co-teacher if you plan to customise Lessons together. Teachers must be invited to join an existing Subject, even if they already have Stile accounts tied to the school.
Click into the Subject you want to work in, and then click on the Students button in the Subject's header. Next, click Manage co-teachers. You can find this in the left column of the page, below the + Add class button.
Note: Stile admins can manage co-teachers in any active Subject at the school via the School Subjects page. If you are a school admin, learn how to manage co-teachers and add yourself to Subjects here.

Add co-teachers via the Students page
Make sure you are in the Manage co-teachers section of the Students page, as described above. Select the Invite via email option in the top right area of the screen. Type the new teacher's email address into the window that appears. Ensure the email address is correct and then click Send invitation email. Stile will send an automated email inviting them to join the Subject.
Their name will show as pending on the co-teachers page until the teacher accepts the invite. Upon accepting, they will have full access to the Subject's Lessons, students, and Markbook.
Remove a co-teacher
Removing a teacher from a Subject will revoke all access to it. They will need an invitation to join again.
Make sure you are in the Manage co-teachers section of the Students page, as described at the start of this article. Hover over the teacher's name or email to reveal the Remove option to the right of the teacher's email address. Click Remove. This action is effective immediately; no prompt will appear.
Protip: You can also remove yourself this way.
Error: User already in Subject
This error message means that your colleague is already enrolled in the Subject as a student. You'll need to remove them before you can add them as a co-teacher.
Cilck into your Class list and search for your colleague's name. You can do this quickly by using your browser's "Find" feature: Ctrl+F on Windows or Cmnd+F on Mac. They might be in an Archived Class, if you have any in your Subject! Once you've found them, click the Rubbish bin icon to the right of their name to remove them from the Class. You'll now be able to go back to the Manage co-teachers page and invite them via email.
If you cannot find them in your Subject, send an email to the Stile Support team. Include your colleague's name and email address, and the name of your Subject, so that we can solve this as quickly as possible for you.
