Delete or merge an account

Deleting a Stile account is different from removing it from a Subject or Class.

Deleting a Stile account is permanent and removes access to all content and work. In most cases, a less destructive option is more appropriate. Read the scenarios below before requesting a deletion.

Remove a student or teacher from a Subject

If a student or co-teacher no longer needs access to a specific Subject, remove them from that Subject rather than deleting their account. See Delete a student for steps.

Merge multiple accounts

If a student or teacher has accidentally created more than one account (e.g. due to a mistyped email address), their accounts can be merged so all work is consolidated in one place.

Email the Stile Support team with the correct email address and the incorrect email address. All work from both accounts will be preserved and accessible after the merge.

I just want to delete my account

Email the Stile Support team from the email address linked to the Stile account you want deleted.

  • For students, Stile will remove all personal information from the profile. Contact your school to discuss deletion of any anonymised work data.

  • For teachers, Stile will remove all personal information from the profile and remove the account from any associated school subscriptions.
