What are key questions and challenge questions?
Every Stile Lesson includes up to three Key questions that tie into the learning goals. Teachers can speed up their marking by focusing their feedback on these questions.
Lessons can also include Challenge questions, which are set at a higher difficulty than Key questions. These can be presented as optional for a higher level differentiation or removed entirely.
These two question types are clearly marked with icons that are visible to you and your students.
How to change the question type
Questions in Stile are standard by default. You can edit them to enable the Key or Challenge question indicators.
Make sure you are in Prepare mode and find the question you want to change. Click its Edit button.
Click on the Settings tab to the right of the Question and Model answer tabs. This brings up the options to set the question as Standard, Key, or Challenge. There's a brief description of each one to help you choose.
Click the radio button next to the selection you want and then click the Done button at the bottom of the widget.
