Diagnostic Assessment

Most Stile lessons contain a diagnostic assessment task designed to elicit students' prior knowledge and identify misconceptions. Below is an example of a diagnostic assessment from the Cells unit.

 

 

Formative Assessment

Formative assessment quizzes can also be useful to evaluate students' understanding and adapt teaching sequences according to their needs.

You will find quizzes at the bottom of most units. As you can see, the questions are linked to specific learning goals.

Class Insights

The results of the diagnostic and formative assessments in Stile can be used to then differentiate the learning sequence for individual students.

 

The Class Insights tool, however, gives you the ability to differentiate in real time.
