If you’re new to Stile and looking to run our Science Week escape room activity, this guide will help you get set up in just a few clicks. You’ll be ready to explore, teach, and bring the excitement of Science Week into your classroom.
Find the Science Week Unit in the Library
- After logging into Stile, click on the Stile Library in the left side menu.
- Click into the Supplementary section.
- Find and click on the Science Week Unit to open it.
- Click the Teach this unit button.
- When prompted, give your new Subject a name. We recommend Science Week 2025.
- Stile will copy the full Unit into your new Subject automatically.
- Click Go to my Subject to view your fresh copy of the Unit.
- You’ll now see all the Science Week activities ready to use.
Prepare and run the Escape Room with your students
Click on the Escape room Lesson, titled "Tuesday: Crack the code and escape."
Read the Lesson plan (the first section at the top of the Lesson) which has all the details you need to run a successful escape room.
- Open the guide to running the Escape Room in the Preparation section.
- Download and print the resources provided in the Materials section. You don’t need to build anything from scratch—everything is ready for you.
- Watch the intro video further down the page so you know what your students are in for.
- Have a play with the countdown simulation. Enter codes correctly and incorrectly, and try all the buttons. The simulation will reset when you refresh the page.
When it's time to start, switch to Teach Mode to go to Stile's presentation view. This mode hides the teaching tips and Lesson plan so your students can focus on the intro video and countdown.
Scroll through the other Lessons to see what’s included in the Science Week Unit. You can start exploring straight away!
