Copying lessons from the school library

You can share your own lessons (both changes you've made to Cosmos Lessons and ones you've  with your colleagues) and access ones they've shared via the school library.

In this article, we'll show you how to access the school library!

How does it work?

You can access the library from inside of any subject, so if you're not already in a subject, either create a new one on the home page or click into an existing one.

In new subjects, you'll see this screen:

Click on the grey 'Browse Lesson library' button.

If you already have content in the subject, it'll look like this (you may need to scroll down):

That will then open the Library sidebar.

It should look something like this:

You can search by subject or lesson title:

Once you select a subject, you can either copy all the lessons in a subject:

Or just the lessons in the folder.

This can take a few minutes, especially if you're copying an entire subject!

Important note: With the school library, it's NOT possible to preview the lessons themselves before copying them. You'll have to copy them to your subject first to look at the lesson content.

Another important note: this process makes a copy of the lessons from the library into your subject and does NOT change them in any way. You can adapt them however you want, and even share your modifications back to the library!
