It's important to provide every student with equitable opportunity to learn. Stile has developed a range of tools and resources for teachers so you can help your language learner students excel. Check out our blog post on how we support language accessibility.

Stile is a browser-based web app, and so it relies on browser features and extensions for content translation. This means that your students can use the tools that they are already familiar with to support their learning journeys.

Stile works with most browser extensions to translate the vast majority of text on the page. Major browsers, such as Chrome and Edge, also include language settings that allow you to set multiple preferred languages.

You can set a new preferred language by opening your browser's Preferences or Settings window and navigating to Languages. Click the Add Languages button to select your student's preferred language, and ensure that the translation feature is enabled. Once this is done, they can right-click on any page in Stile and choose to translate the page into their preferred language.

The Annotate Image and Interactive Canvas widgets are also accessible to translators, however some older images created by our Science team may not yet be updated. This is an active and ongoing process to update all of our resources. You may want to ensure that the illustrated unit Glossary is released to your students for reference while they work.
